Crafting is not only a passion, but your way of life. Unfortunately, though, you are running out of room to store all the finished products you have. You have already given as many as gifts as you can, and still you have finished products stacked in the living room, dining room, and every other spare space you can find. You know you need to clear some of the stuff out, but what should you do with it?
At some point, you have undoubtedly heard these words, "You should really sell your craft". Maybe now would be a good time to start. You have the inventory, you could use the extra money (even if its just to buy more supplies), and it would unclutter your house (making your family happy).
So where do you start? Try the people you know best, your family and friends. Let them know that you have decided to take their advice. Ask them to take some of your crafts to work with them. This works especially well during the holiday season.
Also try consigning at stores that you know would be a good fit with your product. Taking these steps will tell you which of your products are in demand and will help you decide if starting a craft business is for you.
Selling your crafts is a very rewarding experience. Its a great feeling to see your items in a store, and to know that somebody is willing to pay for what you make.
